Ray Michels proudly served on the Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative board of directors for 32 years. In the last ten years of his tenure, he served as board president and was instrumental in starting the YVEC scholarship program. It has evolved into a program that will award $20,000 in scholarships this year to help deserving students further their education.
Marlene Amen was an exceptional trustee and worked diligently on behalf of all electric co-op members. She was the Secretary/Treasurer at the time of her passing. Marlene served on the YVEC Board of Trustees for 24 years and spent many of those years on the YVEC scholarship committee judging applications. Funds for this scholarship came from the generous donations of Marlene's family, friends, and colleagues.
