Recipe of the Month: Peach Crumb Bars


  • peach crumb bars1 egg
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks softened)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt

Filling Ingredients

  • 4 peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Topping Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter

Note: Add a teaspoon of vanilla or almond extract for extra flavor.


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 by 13 pan with parchment paper or spray pan or dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the egg, butter, and sugar. Mix until creamy. Add flour and salt and stir until combined. Hand press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine peaches, butter, and brown sugar. Stir until combined. Pour evenly over crust.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour, and butter. Stir until mixture is crumbly. Spread evenly over filling layer. Bake for an additional 30 minutes. Let cool and cut into squares.
    Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.
