Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative (YVEC) is eager to announce we are moving forward with our third community solar project, located at the office headquarters next to the first and second phase projects. If you missed out on the first or second phase sold-out projects, now is your chance to add your name to the waiting list!
The continued interest and opportunity for YVEC members to participate in a clean, renewable energy source without having to install or maintain the cooperatively-owned solar panels was an exciting vote for the board of trustees.
Project planning is underway, and more information about panel costs and completion will be available in the months to come on our website and in Rural Montana.

Advantages of Community Solar
- Because you are buying the output from one or more solar panels (not the panels themselves), you are not responsible for the panel's maintenance.
- You pay a one-time fee to purchase a panel(s). You will not be responsible for additional fees (maintenance or otherwise) in the future.
- You will receive a credit to your utility bill based on the amount of energy your share in the program generates and current energy rates.
