Security Light Request

Light up your yard, driveway, or business with a dependable Light Emitting Diode (LED) security light. For a few dollars per month, we will install, maintain, and supply the power to an outside yard light.

Program Details

Security light contracts are for a minimum of 10 years and must be signed by the property owners
The lights function from dusk to dawn and must be placed on a Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative (YVEC) pole

Cost

Removal of lights prior to the completion of the 10-year contract is $75. Cost options are as follows:

73-watt LED on existing pole: $8.50 per month
73-watt LED with a new pole: $9.50 per month

The undersigned (hereinafter called the applicant) does hereby apply for security light service and agrees to the following terms. The applicant requests the following type of lighting service.

The rates and fees listed within this contract are subject to change by the Board of Trustees as authorized by the Cooperative’s By-Laws.

The length of the security light contact is 10 years. If removal of the security light is requested before the expiration of the contract a $75.00 removal fee must be paid before the removal takes place.

If the applicant desires relocation of the security light to another existing pole on the same property, a $75.00 charge will be required.

If a request is made to relocate the security light and associated security light pole to install a new pole for the security light, a few of $150.00 must first be paid. In addition, a new 10 year contract must be signed for the new location.

The Cooperative agrees to the following terms:

1.To provide all electricity for the security light.

2.To provide all bulbs and maintenance at no cost to the applicant except in the caseof vandalism.

3.Maintenance and replacing of bulbs will be done only during regular working hours.
