Payment Options

Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative (YVEC) offers several payment options for your convenience. Additionally, a 24-hour payment can be made by phone or you can visit our office headquarters in Huntley and make a payment with our drive-thru kiosk. Safe and secure payment links are provided on our site.

If you use a third-party vendor that is not affiliated with YVEC, you may be subject to additional charges and a delay in your payment.

Pay Your Bill Online

Option 1 — SmartHub

SmartHub

Pay your bill and manage your account online. Create an account on our website or mobile device through the free SmartHub app.

  • View and pay your electric bill
  • Schedule payments and set up Auto Pay
  • Payment options include checking/savings account or debit/credit card.
  • Track your electricity use
  • Receive notifications

The payment section of SmartHub has two different options for paying your bill, Make a Payment and Auto Pay Program. Each option has it’s own payment method. All information must be updated independently for each option.

If you update your card information in the Make a Payment option, your card information in the Auto Pay Program will not be updated. It can also take several minutes for your card information to be updated in the system.

You can make a one-time payment using a credit or debit card without setting up an account.

Automated Phone Payment

An Automated Phone Payment System is available 24/7 and offers a secure and convenient way to make payments.

  • Pay your electric bill anytime 24/7

During your first call, you will be instructed to create a PIN by following the attendant’s instructions.

Payment Kiosks

Using the kiosks is easy by using your account number and simply following the instructions on the device. Kiosks accept cash, check, or debit/credit cards, and payments are immediately applied to your account.

Budget Billing

Payments are set at your monthly average, making it easy to budget. Members must have a 12-month history of your usage at your current residence to determine what your monthly billing average will be. You will receive a monthly invoice indicating the monthly payment amount.

Budget Billing will help keep your monthly payment consistent and allow members to budget an amount that spreads the actual costs over seasonal usage highs and lows.

MoneyGram

Monthly bills can be paid in person using cash at over 30,000 U.S. locations inside retailers like CVS and Walmart. To pay a YVEC bill at one of these locations bring the following:

  • A valid form of identification
  • Cash – enough to for your payment and the MoneyGram fee
  • Your YVEC account number
  • The YVEC receive code: 16351

POWER2GO — Prepaid Metering

Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative (YVEC) offers a prepaid metering option to any residential account with a metered service that is not a net-metered account.
